SKTT: A Must-Have for KITAS Holders in Indonesia

This requirement is outlined in the Population Administration Law Number 24 of 2013, which amends Law Number 23 of 2006. According to Article 1, paragraph 2, both Indonesian citizens and foreigners residing in Indonesia are entitled to residence documents.

What is an SKTT?

The SKTT, or Certificate of Residence, is an identity document issued by the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) to foreigners holding a KITAS. This certificate is essential for foreigners to legally reside in Indonesia, as stipulated in Article 48, Paragraph (1) of Law no. 6 of 2011.

Validity and Renewal

The SKTT is valid for 1-2 years, depending on the KITAS validity, and can be renewed upon expiration.

- Application letter from sponsor/guarantor

- Power of attorney, if applicable

- KTP (ID card) of sponsor/guarantor and the authorized person, if applicable

- Copy of passport biodata page

- Passport-sized photo with a red background
